After School Program

The After School Program (ASP) is available for students in K3 through 6th grade. This program includes supervised recreation, study, rest, reading, snack time, and other creative activities. You may sign up for ASP at any time by turning in the form and the $25.00 application fee.

The ASP follows the same school calendar and observes the same holidays and off days as SMCS. On scheduled half days of school, no ASP is offered. Registration for ASP is done on Orientation Day. Prior to any kindergarten child utilizing the ASP, whether frequently, infrequently, or emergency, a notarized affidavit must be on file. This form is available on Orientation Day, where a notary will document your signature. This form allows us to comply with state regulations.

ASP is offered from 3 p.m. -  6 p.m. for a daily charge of $8.25*. (K3 and K4 may also enroll in the 12 p.m. - 3 p.m. ASP for an additional $8.25* per usage.) ASP accounts will billed at the end of each month for what was actually used during the month.  On days that SMCS closes for 1/2 days, there will be no ASP provided. Please be sure to check the school calendar to be aware of closing dates and times.

The Emergency After School Program is available for families who do not use ASP regularly, or even intermittently, but may need after care in an emergency situation. The fee for EASP is $15.00 per use.  Please be sure to notify the main school office if you need for your child to stay for EASP.

*The rates listed are for the 2012 - 2013 school year. Rates may change for the 2013 - 2014 school year.
